1. Origin of human and tea species. Helo signifies the origin of Chinese culture, the Yellow River and Lo River. Tea growing was firstly introduced by people from Fukien province, China around 1800. After generations of cultivation and improvement, Taiwanese tea has earned its reputation worldwide.
2. Origin of language: the Min-nan dialect spoken by most Taiwanese is also called Helo. Taiwanese is also called Helo people. It represents we acknowledge our ancestors originating from the Yellow River and Lo River region.
3. Origin of culture: as the legend goes, the mystic horse carried the graphs emerging from the Yellow River and the holy turtle carried the codes emerging from the Lo River. In the region of two rivers converging, the ancient people created the most brilliant Chinese culture.
